TYPOGATEAUX

I've never even baked a cake in my life, making pasta is a proud moment for me. So naturally, Typogateaux is a monumental task for someone of my shocking cookery skillset. I'll try my best but I haven't got high hopes!

Anyways - I'm still trying to think about how it's going to look but I like the idea of food colouring, to have some sort of CMYK aesthetic to it. Maybe some sort of marble cake effect? I'll have to look into recipes and cake baking videos (ha)

According to my pretty unreliable mum, the cake tins at home are about 7inches wide, so that means they're about 17 cm wide in metrics. So I'll take this into consideration.

I'll need some food colouring for that I guess?

Here's some I found, available at tesco. Closest I can find to CMYK, at short notice.

Layer cake maybe? Each layer a different colour C/M/Y/K Or a marble effect with all the different colours?

I'll probably have some sort of chocolate outer layer to it. Everyone likes chocolate? So I'll need some cooking chocolate or plain chocolate that I can heat up and melt, like I dunno, Dairy Milk or something. Or an outer layer of icing I think would work better. With a little bit of cream/jam or something in between each layer

I'd have to cut the letterform out of the circular layer cake before I apply the outer icing/chocolate layer obviously. I'll try it tonight and go for a test run.
