PUBLICATION/PLAN OF RESEARCH

PLAN OF ACTION FOR PUBLICATION RESEARCH

A variety of research is needed in order to have the best possible groundwork for the publication.

As a concept at the moment, I'm making a publication on Alfred Hitchcock, examining his famous movies, his beginnings, famous scenes, famous movies and his lasting legacy on movies as they are now. Visually how I'm going to make this, is yet to be seen but as of now I need to focus on content. So I've made a plan of action and avenues to look down in order to have a better understanding and to prepare for the presentation to show where I'm at. Here are questions I currently want to look into during the coming week:

The beginnings of Hitchcock
The idea of an auteur, what's an auteur?
How he got into movies, what started the itch?
His first film, what made it different?
What films did he make?
Did he do anything other than movies?
His iconic movies?
His iconic scenes
The posters, Saul Bass
Famous quotes of Hitchcock
Who was Hitchcock inspired by?
Survey?
Criticisms of Hitchcock?
Film personalities who cite Hitchcock as an inspiration?
Lasting legacy of Hitchcock?
Films inspired by Hitchcock trademarks?
What kind of books are already out there? Look on Amazon, google, library etc
What do people want from a book?
Survey on peoples perceptions on Hitchcock and what people are after?

Survey idea (probably could do with a bit of revision)
Do you know who Alfred Hitchcock is? yes/no= skips to the end.
If yes, do you know what career made him famous? (text answer)
What's the first movie that comes to mind by Hitchcock?
What's the first scene that comes to mind for Hitchcock?
What's your favourite movie by Hitchcock?
Do you find Hitchock to be an inspiring figure?
Any criticisms of Hitchcock and his movies?
Do you own any books or dvds on Hitchock?
If so, what are they called?

This is a reasonably decent framework to utilise and take forward and use as a plan for further research into the subject, you can never have enough knowledge on any subject! I've got plenty of knowledge to make up for as of now.
