As part of some background knowledge on Erik Kessels, I looked into him and KesselsKramer came up, which I understand is a design agency, most of the work seems pretty layout based, with strong emphasis on publications, and combining type and image in interesting formats. He seems to like photocopying, and more traditional print processes, to give a less sort of 'clean' finish to the work.
He seems to realy be into photography, he's on a lot of photography websites and for a lot of these KesselsKramer projects, he is credited as the photographer. Why does he like photography so much? Look into this more.
Here's some of the stuff on there.
